South Dakotans Now Able to Carry Concealed in Washington State
South Dakota (SD) Secretary of State Office reports that after 3 years of negotiations, SD residents will now be allowed to carry concealed in Washington state.
SD residents issued the Enhanced concealed carry permits can now carry in all but 10 states:
California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Rhode Island.
This leaves 38 states in which a resident with the Enhanced permit is allowed to carry. Negotiations are under way at this time with New Mexico, which will bump that number to 39.
To be allowed to carry in New Mexico before negations are finalized, you could get the Virginia Non-Resident Permit. This is possible by taking an online course Virginia requires to be allowed to carry in other states.
The SD Gold Card Permit allows 32 states, while the standard permit is 31
